With a shipment date set for June 2009, Xtreme Green Products has announced on Earth Day that it has begun accepting orders for the X Rider – a cost effective electric motorcycle capable of traveling at speeds up to 65mph with a range of over 100 miles.
Xtreme Green Products, Inc. (XGP), an eco-vehicle company specializing in the development of electric and environmentally friendly land vehicles and personal watercraft, has announced today that it has begun accepting orders for its X Rider electric motorcycle.
“Since launching Xtreme Green Products, our vision has been to develop the most advanced and cost effective green urban commuter available on the market,” explained Neil Roth, President and Chief Operating Officer of Xtreme Green Products. “With a top speed approaching 65 miles per hour, a range of over 100 miles, and an operational cost as low as $0.003 per mile, we believe the X Rider fully encompasses this vision,” he added.
Designed as the ultimate zero-emission green commuter, the X Rider provides the power necessary to travel at highway speeds while maintaining operational efficiencies and reliability. Features of the X Rider include a proprietary power management system allowing added safety and battery life, a built in battery charger that allows the X Rider to fully charged in less than 3 hours, and a 4500 watt, 72 volt proprietary hub motor developed to maximize top speed and range.
The fully-equipped X Rider is priced at just $7,999. Additionally, the X Rider qualifies under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for the $3,334 plug-in electric vehicle tax credit.
